Welcome back to another blog post! Today as I'm sat writing a 2000 word essay on Police and Crime Commissioners, I'd thought I'd do a post on what it is like to study journalism, the work involved and a bit of a daily routine as to how a day in uni will go. Hope you enjoy reading it! TUESDAY. Tuesday's are my busiest day on timetable and I'm in uni from 12-6; might sound great as I get a lie in, but it's a long day and means I have lectures and seminars on each of my modules. I'll usually meet my course mate Charlotte and we walk to uni together, as I've been here 6 months and still hate going anywhere on my own, on the off chance I might get lost! Luckily she lives across the road and both of our accommodations are about a 5 minute walk from the main campus buildings. Hello again! Just thought I'd write a bit of a random post on a Sunday evening because it's been a while! I spend quite a bit of time in London, be it seeing shows or just having a day trip to Oxford Street for a bit of retail therapy. These are some hidden gems that you may not know about or have just walked past - hopefully it'll encourage you to try them out next time you're in the city! The Theatre Cafe. It's actually become a bit of a running joke now that I cannot walk through Soho and not go into the Theatre Cafe. It is such a cool place - they serve musical themed drinks, Defying Gravitea being a personal favourite! The staff are as big musical geeks as the customers they attract, so expect to hear a lot of singing from behind the counter as well as from the tables! Well, here we are. Spilling my feelings and emotions onto a blog page, and I'm not going to lie, it feels a bit scary. I'm not sure I should even be doing it, as who knows what my family will think. But writing is my form of therapy now I don't have a piano to sit at, and I'm not that good at talking about this, so I guess I'll just out it on here. Welcome to another blog post - I'm so happy to be black blogging that I thought I'd write another! Hello and welcome to another blog post, Thought I'd write a bit about an experience I've recently been through; the start of university life and the infamous 'Freshers Week'. I personally loved this week as it gave me the opportunity to get to know my new flatmates and coursemates as well as having a lot of fun. But depending on the type of person you are, the experience can be totally different. I know some people from High School who went into Freshers as shy, quiet people and came out the complete opposite! But this post is going to be based on my experience and a few bits of advice I'd give to anyone starting Freshers this September coming. 1. Be as sociable as possible.     I can't stress this one enough; it's so so important! When it's move in day, get some sort of door stop, even if it's just a box of your stuff. If you follow my Twitter or really any social media, you'll know that musicals are one of my favourite things and a passion of mine. Recently, I've been lucky enough to see the musicals known in the West End as the 'Big Three'. They are Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Wicked. I've seen Wicked 4 times and am so biased towards it as it is my favourite musical, meaning that sometimes I am reluctant to stray away from the familiarities of the Apollo Victoria. However, after seeing Phantom and Les Mis, I'm so happy they all lived up to their reputations and I was yet again mesmerized by the power of live theatre.
