Manchester Weekender

Hello and welcome to a bit of a different post, more of an 'experience' one; if that's what it's called?! Thought I'd write about a trip me and my best friend took a couple of weeks ago, to see Arcade Fire at the MEN Arena; we had the best time and made so many memories! Coming back to uni from the Easter holidays can be disappointing; you've gone from eating your body weight in chocolate and lazing around the house to returning to the thought of exams and deadlines being upon you. However, I was quite looking forward to coming back for one reason; the fact that Holly and I were off on another city adventure, this time to Manchester where I've actually never been, except for to the airport! A day in the life of a journalism student!

Welcome back to another blog post! Today as I'm sat writing a 2000 word essay on Police and Crime Commissioners, I'd thought I'd do a post on what it is like to study journalism, the work involved and a bit of a daily routine as to how a day in uni will go. Hope you enjoy reading it! TUESDAY. Tuesday's are my busiest day on timetable and I'm in uni from 12-6; might sound great as I get a lie in, but it's a long day and means I have lectures and seminars on each of my modules. I'll usually meet my course mate Charlotte and we walk to uni together, as I've been here 6 months and still hate going anywhere on my own, on the off chance I might get lost! Luckily she lives across the road and both of our accommodations are about a 5 minute walk from the main campus buildings.
